Welcome! I’m Bex. I’m glad you found your way here.
I am an interdisciplinary scholar, embodiment practitioner and facilitator and creative.
I got my PhD in human geography at UNC Chapel Hill in 2024. I am also a Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner (SEP), an Open Floor dance facilitator, and a musician and multimedia creative. On this website you will find more about ways to work and collaborate with me. While nestled under different headings, I see all my work as interconnected.
I believe in caring for the preciousness of life on this earth-in the little time we have here. I am committed to supporting people to connect more deeply with themselves, each other, and the world around them.
If you are looking for a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, you can find more about the work I do and how I might be able to support you here.
If you are interested in a group facilitator, or an instructor with expertise in somatic modalities, feminist geographies of the body, critical approaches to trauma and embodiment, please be in touch!
My ever-unfolding multimedia creative practices include music and soundscape, video, embodiment/performance, and cooking. If you are an artist or musician interested in collaborating reach out.
